That usage is incorrect. It's another case of a word misinterpretation taking over the historical meaning. It's from the Latin "non plus" meaning no further.

Why do you say that? The fire department is a service hired by us to extinguish our stuff. Didn't they learn how to put out gasoline engine car fires 100 years ago? They should have refused because they only knew how to put out horse f

I don't understand the "free" argument people keep making. Haven't you read the arguments debunking that point of view? It's only "free" in terms of there not being a transfer of money from you to Google.

What is a concrete example? Many of the Wikipedia controversies I've read about have been related to political figures and events.

When I tried Glass, the display was always visible when active. At least it's physically possible to not look at your phone. The one defense I would give is that the Glass projection turns off quite quickly, presumably to save battery

Whether it's valid or not, something capable of projecting into your eye while you are driving seems like it is a potential danger. It is not the same as a monitor that is not directly in your line of vision or obstructing your view of

It's best to just have keyboard shortcuts for each space (Control 1-4) rather than move left to right. Even if you are moving in a 2x2 virtual screen you usually still have the inefficient diagonal case.

I'm very dubious of your claim. Violent crime and homicide rates have been dropping for decades in the U.S.

It wouldn't be our only non-ARC framework. It might be interesting to benchmark an ARC version though.

It's not using ARC. Is this legacy code, or couldn't they get equivalent performance with ARC enabled?

Apple took a shot at traditional datacenter rack servers with their Xserve product line. I don't think it failed because OS X couldn't scale.

How is this going to end? All radio-controlled planes will require aviation licenses? Maybe they will need tracking devices too? I think I will enjoy watching people scramble to deal with the disruption.

ActionScript is a Java-ed up JavaScript. It's based on the failed ECMAScript 4 proposal which adds classes, public/private, imports, and other features. It's not hard to see why people wouldn't like it. I would say it&#x

The 20-50x performance tradeoff is a hard pill to swallow though. I'd love to see a better performing dynamic language that isn't as minimal as Lua.
