-Lai Yang, pretty obscure, it doesn't have a Wikipedia page and I can't find much info on it anywhere, so this shouldn't be surprising. -Euler #193 - This problem is not super obvious and I see discussions on it invoking Riem

Yes it can, I've been using it for exactly that. "This code is supposed to do X but does Y or haz Z error fix the code." Sure you can't stick an entire project in there, but if you know the problem is in class Baz, just

I've been doing multi chip stuff with 16MHz Atmels with no issues just using a de-coupleing cap on the Vins. Did it not used to be that easy?

My strategy is to get it to imitate a Linux terminal. From there you can do things like {use apt to install an ai text adventure game} [Installing ai-text-adventure-game] ai-text-adventure-game -setTheme=StarWars set character="Han Sol

Really? I feel like intent would be really hard to prove. "Hey, due to the way our accounting works I need you to subtract X from our dashboard." "Ok boss." Are programmers expected to know finance law? If I build a prog

I've come to the conclusion that hackernews is mostly programmers and not sysadmins. This crowd is just not that savvy with these types of things. I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I get. There's always a ton of bad infor

No the problem with fingers is that they resemble hotdogs and the AI really likes hotdogs so you get a lot of fingers. I can make things up too!

That's not something that would really need to be considered unless you're talking completely apocalyptic, no soil at all.

Meh. There's a zillion other ways for someone to get a password other than a major breach. Random speculation on Reddit doesn't mean jack shit.

I'm in manufacturing. We print probably 10k pages a day. Not everyone is a work from home app developer.

Because I value uptime. I don't want my garbage PC that runs PiHole to crash and totally take down the network. I have many hardwired devices, they may not. I need two APs as I live in an older house and I get crappy reception in my ba

No, just not shitty Netgear or home equipment. I have a Fortigate, 2 Cisco APs, and a 48 port Juniper PoE switch. Obviously it depends on how many devices you have and what kind of quality you're looking for.

So you'll need to set up a VPN service on your Pi, then set up iptables for allowing traffic to flow through the Pi, and use DHCP to set the Pi as your gateway. You'll also need to point the Pi to your home router as a gateway. No

Firewall - $300 2 APs - $200 8 port switch - $150 That's less than I'd spend personally. If the Pi isn't the gateway (which it likely isn't) that's not going to be trivial. Even if it was, fiddling with iptables isn

That's not easy in any sense of the word. You'd need to provide a network diagram at minimum to even try to answer that.

Yeah it all depends. They may need to buy access points and a switch and a device to run the shaping. Depending on how many ports they need on the switch, it's really easy to hit $1k if you don't buy the cheapest no name stuff you

You'll need something that can do traffic shaping and you'll also have to segment your network somehow. This will cost you roughly $1000 at least in hardware. Unless you really really want to learn about networking, it's like

As I've read it, it's always regarding the food chain. I've never seen a paper that said mosquitos were completely inconsequential, just that if they were completely removed, the food chain wouldn't be damaged.

It for sure is more complicated than that. Your prices will get jacked up over time due to browser cookies. Never book hotels or flights without turning on private mode in your browser.

Yup the people who have problems with Windows are the ones who fuck their registry up with this hacky bullshit. Just leave everything alone and it works fine.
