Given the industrial spying on, well, the world, I cant see any reason why the likes of the NSA do not have possession of information that would compromise almost every elected politician the US has. Even if its small stuff, anything can be

I had a similar thought with Bush. While did and still do despise the man's very existence, something I cant remember now, which is really annoying, made me think that actually the US president doesn't have half the power one woul

Sure but it seems far less content. Maybe speed will suffer as content increases. Sites like this, IMHO, are about content, not speed.

Just a feed back: For me, I click on HTML(1) in the menu on the left, and it expands below the page. There seems to be a thin scroll bar to the right to scroll down, but I cant grab it to scroll down. Only arrow keys and mouse wheel work. I

In general, I am using the internet and electronic communications less and lees. Often I am now asking myself if what I am going to do is necessary or does it have to be electronic. As well as altering my choice to use, I am adding more and

Really interesting thinking. Yes, if one views Wikileaks like an intelligence gathering agency, a lot more makes sense. It doesnt change my support for it, because in that light it becomes an independent intelligence agency acting for every

This self-aggrandizement thing, that's ego, right? If we invalidated organisations and achievement because people have big egos, then well, what exactly is left? I mean, Apple invalidated because of Job's ego? All of the Americas

Well, Im 41 today, and I genuinely wish I had never been born. I don't understand or feel part my own species, or understand the world I exist in. Im simply waiting to die off.

What is safer in this scenario? Sealed fridge or coffee table in another room? Car wise, well, that could be impracticable: 1) does one have a car in HK? Or did one fly in and hire a cab? 2) Has one just walked up a tower block to get to Sn

Well, in the US you cant. Defendants are demonized by the police even before they reach trial. Note how Snowden is already a guilty traitor before even arrest, let alone trial. In the UK we are incredible careful about what is said in the p

I'm from the UK. We have tabloids. They will take a fact like (made up example) Snowden wanted all phones turned off, and simply make up the rest. 1) to demonize the subject, and 2) to put a more sexy sounding story in the paper. So, m

It says at the bottom: "Create new world with seed: The same seed always creates the same track, so you can agree on a seed with your friends and compete. :) " Sadly, that is pretty much the only bit I understood, ish...

When defendants can be over whelmed to the point of suicide, with many charges, knowing that a jury is likely to find guilt on at least one of them, and basically feel (s)he might as well plead guilty to get a lesser of two evils sentence,
