I can't think of a single time I've needed a large collection of "backup" methods in case of a chain of failures; I can't even think of an example which could scale to 100. Anyways, this solution does scale: m

ThinkPad T480 with touchscreen - runs Kubuntu well. Audio is terrible, but I like USB-C charger, builtin ethernet, & removable battery. I was able to upgrade the SSD and it was a pretty good experience, if you're into that.

Gor Nishanov, one of the authors, talks about this in his CppCon2018 talk https://youtu.be/j9tlJAqMV7U (jump to ~12:33 to skip background). It amounts to using CPU prefetch instructions with C++ coroutines to simulate hyper

If you use isinstance(x, (int, float)) instead of type(x) == int then I think you'll find your expected behavior. When you say type narrowing do you mean floats should be automatically interpreted as int? There is typing.{SupportsInt,

I'm not sure if you mean "user" or "reactOS devs". If the latter, I can't be sure (besides the fact it's modern and has plenty of features), but as a user, I chose btrfs for its "subvolumes". Wit

The new importlib.resources[0] module is a nice solution for accessing static data-files within a package/module. It replaces pkg_resources (or perhaps, standardizes/guarantees-presence) and is supposed to be more efficient. There

The use of the term "pure energy" always grates me; it gives the impression that energy is an entity unto itself, which is not the case. I realize that it's used as a proxy for photons most of the time, but I still always thi

Yeah, the unique_ptr<T> enforces move semantics and can be "borrowed" via get() (but unlike rust, further borrowing/moving rules are not enforced by C++). This post is an explanation of how to write your own class which
