I think the idea is that the Ubiquiti equipment is far more capable than normal consumer-grade equipment like ASUS, and still manages to "just work". So your ASUS may also "just work" but is has a fraction of the capabil

Ability to ssh into my mattress (locally) would be a feature not a bug. :D Of course, allowing remote access is ridiculous.

This seems like a fruitless back and forth. To discuss modern slavery, specifically, we need to be clear that we're not talking about the hyperbolic characterization of low-wage or even to some degree exploited labor. Exploited labor (

I would avoid analogizing this to the petty political fads of the west. Actual human slavery is still a very real thing in much of the world. Slavery is likely less about making mental room so much as being raised in an environment where it

No, we’re talking about actual slavery in modern times, not exploited labor. Actual slavery is still very much a thing.

I believe there are more slaves today than ever in the history of the planet simply due to population growth. While everyone WE know thinks slavery is morally evil, most of the world does not hold that view. In fact, I would say the default

BLE and WiFi are power hungry on any platform. LoRaWAN or zigbee are better for low power, low bw comms. Kinda sacrifice simplicity & ubiquity of support in that you need a gateway/router of some sort, but they are solid solutions

I do not think that word means what you think it means. Proto boomer would be pre-boomer or at least the very early boomer, and chronologically that makes zero sense. Understand what you're trying to say though -- Quasi, Para, Pseudo,

the dashes and the auto capitalization are awful for technical writing. The ctrl-z becomes painful and annoying very quickly. Would that Word supported markdown.

This is a ridiculous maladaptive behavior. Word has been replacing dashes forever, consequently it has been unintentionally ubiquitous in business writing forever. That this character ever became a heuristic for AI is silly.

The thing about the UniFi platform is it iteratively improves. Years ago you couldn’t manage NAT rules or DNS from the GUI, though there were workarounds to modify iptables at the command line and preserve customization across upgrades. Now
