With any open weights model you can get it and abliterate the censorship. Can’t do that with OAI and Claude

Eh, not really. Fable does a lot better on coding than Opus 4.8. Just this past week Fable was able to figure out a couple of small issues for me where Opus was failing to. Also both are still somewhat bad at UI implementation. Opus more so

I mean Codeberg will pretty soon start having to ask. How do they determine that and who'll be in charge to find violations there?

You can do that too. Start working locally, then just do /handoff to transfer your session to the cloud and then work through the Codex app on your phone.

Codex is open source and lets you use any model https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/config-file/config-advanced#o...

I’ve found that Claude is very literal. When I talk to 5.5 it gets what i want it to do, when I talk to Opus 4.8 it does what I say literally and doesn’t get the intent behind it.

Same here - gave 5.5 a web design to implement and it sucked. Gave the same to Fable and it still sucked.

They’ve addressed that. Codex in the ChatGPT app on iOS is way better than Claude Code now. You sign in the Codex app on your Mac same on iOS and are able to completely control your sessions - fork, side chats, plugins - everything. It’s re

Would be interesting to see how this affects the service companies. Typically for a project you’d have something like 1 senior, 1-2 mid and 2-3 juniors and sell the team to the client. The junior/mid is where the margins are, as senior

+1 Used to have an “academy” where we pick people up from first year in uni and get them to learn from zero. Haven’t had one in ~3 years, no plan to. Also half the company was downsized. No hiring in 3 years, cutting tons of people and tons

What would that IPO look like when they can’t sell their product to users and are hard capped on how much money they can earn?

Sooo both OpenAI and Anthropic going bankrupt soon? If they can’t freely sell access to their models and Chinese models catch up to Opus 4.8/GPT 5.5 in 6-8 months - then why pay OAI/Anthropic at all?
