You are already powerful enough! Some of our most active developers today didn't even know C++ when they started. If you're interested, look for something small that annoys you, and then see if you can't figure out enough of

If you look at the contributors graphs[1] on our GitHub repository, you'll find that folks other than myself have added tens of thousands of lines of code. I'm not quite the power-hungry gatekeeper you might imagine :^) Regardless

If I open this HN discussion page in the browser, it currently uses 44MB of private memory. We can definitely shave a couple of megabytes off of it with some effort, but supporting the contemporary web on a 4MB budget seems infeasible.

We haven't really begun to optimize for memory usage yet, so it swings wildly depending on the content you're viewing. At this stage, we're primarily focusing on correctness and compatibility, and performance is mostly a luxu

I, too, enjoy Linus's YouTube channel! :^) His meticulous approach of implementing specifications by writing code interleaved with quotes from the spec has inspired me to adopt the same style.

We actually still don't pass Acid2 :^) Acid1 and Acid3 are good now, but Acid2 still needs some work on CSS tables and miscellaneous little things.

We don't use C++ exceptions anywhere in SerenityOS. Instead we use an ErrorOr<T>[1] return type for functions that may fail. These are then automatically propagated by use of a TRY() macro[2]. I haven't thought about encodin
