So this ì is Pinyin diacritic? Too bad that the accents are used in different ways in the different diacritics, it seems.

I love how you can hover your mouse over certain lines of code and it highlights a paragraph below that explains something about it, and vice versa.

Well, most people don't get that it's optional, and this is also in part because they don't make it obvious that it is in fact optional. Clever in some way but I still consider it as tricking people into signing up.

I wonder how PDF in larger paper formats (A4, US Letter) look on the bigger screen. They get rendered with illegibly small text on my Sony Reader (which has the same-size screen as the normal Kindle). Too bad again, that the Kindle is US on

Honestly, it feels a little boring to me. I mean, ok, it's nice to be able to custom rank feed items, but it sounds like a lot of work to do beforehand. Especially as the most interesting items are most often the ones that I did not anticip

I hate if I have to enter a username when I just want to quickly try what something is about. I always try to build my apps so that you can use most of the functionality without an account. I think that should be the standard way to do it a

Best point for me: more screen space because what used to be the tab bar has been reduced to 0px. Worst point for me: Progress indicator is gone/almost invisible. I now have to check twice whether or not I properly clicked a link.

I think it punishes commenting on niche hacker news postings that don't make it to the front page (i.e. far enough up on the list). If only few people read a posting, only few people will upvote it. So even if the comment would be valuable

Not yet, but I am not actually sure what to use from there. There are just so many definitions that have weird up vs. down ratios that I wouldn't dare to let a program decide what is legitimate or not.

Thanks for the idea. I am not sure if I can extract useful facts from it, but I can definitely see this helping for "see also" purposes. Integrating with the semantic web is a natural further step for Factolex.
