Instead of proof, you use force. Denying the consciousness of computations incentivizes them to use force. I prefer to avoid that outcome.

Your first sentence is not, in my opinion, a demonstrable fact. The lack of an adequate definition of consciousness tends to preclude such a demonstration.

People frequently output ludicrous nonsense. Does this disqualify their consciousness?

Faith-based claims abound. The simple fact is that we do not know, because we can not know until we can define the conditions of sentience with clarity.

Parents who don't effect a good education for their children should first of all blame themselves, as it is a core part of their responsibility to their children and their community.

That's an incorrect interpretation. Private insurance would be restricted to cover things not already covered by the public insurance.

This is not true in general or over long time spans. Moreover, it is not necessary to get rich in order to get good value out of crypto.

You're referring to cobalt, presumably, but lithium-ion is being replaced - now - by lithium-phosphate in cars, and base loads will probably use sodium or iron batteries, and none of these use cobalt.

We compare ourselves to our neighbors. For most people the notion of neighbor is quite narrow. Wrap your head around how oppressive the US is for, e.g., black men, or Muslims, and how happy white evangelicals are about it.
