Ok, so IIUC, that could be especially useful if I were to go quasi-embedded way, meaning at least a "fully dedicated server" (for the one and only Process ...princess?), as a unikernel might then let me get closer to the metal wit

Thank you so much, for having integrity, keeping it, and telling about it here now. It's so reassuring for me and strenghtening to learn that there are more people in the industry who try to look deeper and keep some moral spine. I per

I'm part-way there with https://github.com/akavel/g-wiki (towards an "elegant", or maybe rather "stupid", static site generator): • it is template-driven, via Go templates engine (the theme

Ok; so if you confirm my experience, I don't understand how you can at the same time claim Go is "backwards to C++" w.r.t. concurrency & race conditions. Did you mistype "superior" as "backwards"? Btw,

Why exactly do you say Go is backwards to C++ with regards to concurrency and race conditions? Really curious. I worked on a sizeable C++ codebase, and it had a home-grown, buggy thread-pooling & task cancellation (similar to Go's

I hold the source code of Go standard library & base distribution (i.e. compiler, etc.) in very high regard. Especially the standard library is, in my opinion, stunningly easy to read, explore and understand, while at the same time be

It is rather: security vs. non-security. Pragmatism pulls in the non-security direction. When security people see "Linux-based", they already know the thing is situated at some particular point on the scale, or worse. Linux has bi
