Yeah, I would pay to reduce the number of clicks. Already using voice to text and a fancy professional mic.

Yeah, there's a number of options for searching by file name etc, everything works well for me. Searching within file contents seems to lack good options right now. Historically you had X1 desktop search, Google had a desktop search p

Would a faster microprocessor help, or is it something more inherent? I'm just starting to get into custom keyboards. Is ZSA's build known to have latency issues compared to QMK?

Turns out the original patents on melatonin for sleep covered doses up to 1 mg, so all the manufacturers started dosing melatonin significantly higher. (I get mine from nootropics depot) -300mcg https://slatestarcodex.com/20

First of all, thanks for this, I've been using it today. I'll e-mail later with a longer list of comments/suggestions. First request would be a way to sync settings across multiple machines, or at least a way to import/

My eyes aren't quite as sharp as they used to be, but there is still a substantial difference between a 1080p monitor and a 4k monitor, even at those sizes. Can't use it to display that much more, but text is smoother.(A retina i

It's not quite as nice as a full desktop setup, but you can get portable 4K monitors in the 12 to 17 inch range. Also you can build some small but high powered machines. I've got a mini ATX build with a 12900 ks, and a 3090. Fits

What's the performance impact on this, especially on windows? Also what would happen if I installed a Windows gateway, using routing and remote access services, and then installed portmaster on that? Overall this looks pretty awesome,

This sounds super useful, I'll give it a try. I definitely agree with reducing friction helping extensively, I only get so many attention points during the day.

My problem is finding a good ADHD focused therapist. That task seems hard, so I've never gotten around to it. I'll definitely thought in the past hey I should find an ADHD focused psych... But it never happened. I just realized p

Give your clients alerts. Send me a text message 15 minutes before the appointment, if its time and you've been waiting for 5 minutes call me. Yes I know I can set up calendar alerts, but odds are I screwed that up somehow, and a call

I love my pebbles. Especially with notification center on Android, I can set complex regex filters for what messages get sent to my watch, vibration patterns etc.

I suspect what you are seeing is the preferred cores. With TVB/OCTVB (thermal velocity boost/overclocking thermal velocity boost) those can boost higher than the other cores. From my 12900ks (its a boosted 12900k) Core 6-7 is rat

I ended up having extremely weird stuttering issues where the mouse would suddenly take several seconds to move across the screen on a high-end 64 core threadripper machine. Turning off mouse trails in Windows completely solved the problem

If you like that, HackFortress is a CTF that combined both sides, the video game playing and the hack style CTF. Looks like they're going to be back this year for defcon, I ran a team for several years. I found it to be some of the mo

There's been a number of in person ctfs where hacking infrastructure was fair game... And did not have static arp entries set, and I ended up mitming all the traffic to the score server.

Also a lot of the time they are they can be the same people. Just one set of targets for your day job, one set of targets for fun at the CTF. (and the ctf challenges are probably easier)!

Fyi Windows does have a game mode that will do some of those things. If you want to get super crazy, I'll boot a second copy of Windows off of a vhdx file that's stripped down if I want extra performance. With a little bit of work
