I wanted one of these really bad back in the day. Had to settle for running Solarisx86 on a generic laptop instead. Nice find.

What percentage of people head home after a liquidy event? The bay area was great and all but the money spends a lot better back here in flyover country.

I 100% agree. The BeOS icon set remains my personal favorite to this day. When I run Linux I usually load them up first thing. https://www.iconfinder.com/iconsets/beos

I would be willing to pay a decent premium to be able to buy a replacement cable modem with this built in. Cool project.

Yep, the G11. Turns out with all its other problems caseless ammo is brittle, so if you drop a round it breaks. Not super practical in the field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGKcvM2Hh4g&t=328s

Nice write up and photos. I used to maintain a lab like this only my cable management was nowhere near as nice as his. I've replaced this all with a combination of AWS and an Antsle. I miss the hands-on hardware time but don't

Ah the icons of my youth, quite awesome. However, for me, the BeOS icon set has not been toped. When I first installed BeOS I remember being totally blown away by them. http://www.iconwanted.com/en/beos.html

Gil the Arm would make such a great detective show. I hope Ringworld is successful so Amazon develops the rest of Larry Niven's known universe properties.

The current resolution of Glass is like 640x360 correct? When they hit around 3840×2160 I would be able to use them as a primary display. That would have some interesting possibilities.

It works with MS office as well as having their own editor you can use. For unsupported apps, I just cut and paste it into their editor.

GNUstep is like a barn find Corvette. Sure it has rust on the frame and the paint is ugly and the upholstery ruined. However, it's low miles on the original engine. With a bit of work could be an extremely valuable show car. I feel
