Am I the only one with a smartphone who comes nowhere near 5GB a month? According to the iPhone my usage since 5/5/09 is 3.4GB, and I'd consider myself a frequent data user. I actually do wish that telecos would introduce metered plans, p

This is not just exposing a flaw, it's committing fraud. Frankly the author's lucky it's lawyers who are contacting him and not the police. If I someone started posting info on how to create valid but fake mail-in rebate vouchers how long d

I call bullshit. Some of the most intensive games out there are using about 100% of the iPhones power and still get several hours of battery life. Even if the app used some pathological combination of CPU/GPU/Disk/Network resources you woul

Agreed 100%. I get the feeling that many of the people who tout the iPhone/Tablet as an eBook reader have never tried a Kindle or something with e-ink. The experience just doesn't compare, and you don't have to worry about an hour of readin

A 32" 1080p HDTV is about $500-$700 at the moment depending on the brand. Nobody looking for a TV is going to spend 3x as much on an iMac that has a smaller screen and a single input that can't even be used with most consoles/dvd/bluray pla

This approach seems really dumb to me. 1) Testing rectangles against paths is an easy thing to solve on the CPU. 2) On the first iPhone models if you're doing anything graphics related the bottleneck is likely to be the GPU, so why give it

Kitchen Nightmare's is a pretty good show, but not on par with the UK originals (Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares). The original UK shows are far more "real" - no sensationalized voice overs, editing, or dramas. There's also no show-provided inf

$99... and a $75 a month bill for two years. Sure, you could pick up an iPod Touch for $199 but that's twice as much, has worse battery life, looks like it'd be far more fragile, and no way to prevent kids for accessing the more adult Wikip

Yes. If you do not defend a trademark you run the risk of having it deemed abandoned, after which people can use it freely or even re-register it for themselves.

Frankly I thought the tone of "hey, we need to ask you to stop" was a refreshing and reasonable change from the usual threats and bluster to be found in most C&D letters. Whether they have a valid claim or not would be for a lawyer to d
