But it (the judgement) has nothing to do with revenge porn; it's about a tweet that the scumbag made, accusing someone of having child porn.

Here's the problem: even with this ruling, there is nothing preventing the border patrol people from continuing to seize and search laptops and phones. In other words: there is no adequate punishment for violating a citizen's constitutional

I'll wait for AntiRez to chime in. It is possible that ZMQ has better performance than Redis, because the Redis server has to parse the request and then act on it, and then there's the marshalling on the client side; with ZMQ, you're just s

Why wasn't that used in this performance comparison? Because then the stupid headline wouldn't be so sensationalist, would it? // I have no dog in this fight, but hate twisted claims

If you present users with a choice, they'll still choose Google and Apple gets nothing. Make it the default, and Apple gets a cool $1B. "A billion here, a billion there and soon we're talking about real money" ;-)

More and more people are doing it too, I think. I was looking at property records, and a surprisingly large number of them were owned by various "trust"s .

That makes the most sense. Imagine a Jiffy Lube style setup: you drive on to a station, robotic arms automatically remove your battery and install a new one, and you're on your way. Total time: under 2 minutes. Boom!

A 1000 mile trip in a gas vehicle would require 3, maybe 4 fuel ups. I've timed my fill-ups many times, 7 minutes from off the road to back on (assuming an en-route gas station) is about the average. So, figure 28 minutes lost to fueling,

It is a shame, really, that Assange is such an attention whore. His being locked up in the Ecuadorian embassy is probably the best outcome that the US could have hoped for (aside from him being in a US jail). He has no one to blame but hims

I'd love to coat my toilet with this, so I never have to scrub it again. And also the insides of the plumbing pipes, so nothing gets stuck in there... :)

Only if you have a white car, though. From the specs, the color of the coating is a translucent white, so that pretty much eliminates possible use on any other paint than white. http://www.ultraeverdrystore.com/products/

I knew I'd heard the name "SodaStream" before. The other day, walking around in the Castro in SF, I came across a bunch of protestors who were calling for a boycott of SodaStream: http://www.codepink4peace.org/section.php?id=470 As a pers

In one word? Apathy. Too few people are really invested in SF. If you're a resident of SF, you're busy working, partying, etc. Things aren't too bad and the money is flowing easily, so you don't care. Things could be better if there was mor

MUNI is just one of the problems with SF. There are many more. Firstly: this is a city of transplants. You'd be hard-pressed to find a native SF'an in your daily interactions. (I know just a couple, and I've been here 6 years). As a result,

I disagree. Mating is deeply biological phenomenon; the rational brain has little to do with it. For example: I'm attracted to slim women. But some of my best friends are curvy. I'm not discriminating against curvy women; it's just that I f

2-3 years ago OKC tried this CBD here in SF. I tried it, but couldn't get 1 date out of it. Most of the times, there was no response; and the one time we decided to meet somewhere, she didn't show up. Then OKC shut it down. On asking women
