Not that we needed it, but more evidence that the adjectives "faster" and "slower" are overloaded to the point of meaninglessness when discussing compilers and languages.

Agreed. Judging by the list of current territorial disputes in Africa ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_disputes#A... ), we're a ways from 'borderless'. Even in the EU, the refugee cris

This, like basically all terminology/jargon distinctions, will be community-specific. This particular distinction is idiomatic primarily in the C family (C, C++, Java, ad n.), primarily inheriting from the declaration/definition

I had to learn some Akkadian for a senior paper in Ancient Religions about 30 years ago. The topic was some discussion of grammatical similarities between the Hebrew text of Genesis and the Enuma Elish---one of the most important Akkadian t

What if we had decades of good research showing that the physical/psychological distinction is not a helpful one, and therapies that don't take both into account are generally less effective for most pathologies?

I often wonder why the community's response to issues with an open/free/community package is to give the maintainers a strong argument to discontinue it in favour of a commercial one, or just abandon it altogether.

It's a test bed. Likely a simpler/cheaper solution to the infrastructure for simulation, bench testing, aerodynamic testing, etc. that isn't as available in India as in the US. Clearly some marketing/PR value, as well.

While very interesting, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that wishes India (and all of humanity, really) success in its space program, this is a very long way from launching a crew-rated vehicle. Nor is the design particularly a
