I think rather than a world described here where “creators” (what a nauseating term) are terrified of being upstaged by AI, most are terrified by a world where AI can produce images that are 80% as good as a human but cost 99.999% less. It

They said in the article that using it on university-owned devices is fine, as long as it's not connected to their WIFI. I don't think it makes a ton of sense from a cybersecurity perspective, but it is pretty similar to a workp

I sort of admire the clarity of vision to take the current decade’s political subtext of “people with money should be allowed to dictate the values of society” and turn it into the supertext.

I don’t think it’s a completely unfair scenario to imagine. If wealth continues to concentrate in to a smaller and smaller group of people, and having wealth makes it easier to change the laws stopping the concentration of wealth, what exog

Showing a causal relationship here would involve explaining why many other western countries with much more relaxed policing laws also seem to be safer than the US. I would guess a more likely reason is that more foot traffic reduces crime.

That explanation doesn’t really seem to explain why there is such a huge difference between the US and other countries with an arguably larger administrative state and higher union participation.
