To address the immigration point. The UK has fewer migrants than Spain, Norway, Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Latvia and many others; [1]. Roughly the same percentage as Germany, France and Iceland. Why are the other countries muc

It's the common market. Safety regulations on microwaves are EU wide. Is that that big of deal? (For Euro countries things are big different, but still.)

Yes, it would England and Wales. (Not that I'm fond of that prospect.)

You had democracy, and you still do. Now Latvia has veto power on whether the UK can have access to the single market (provided that the UK ever leaves, something that has not happened).

I think they would. From their point of view it would be an improvement over the current state of affairs. As the border controls would go down. (Even though I think that would be a remote possibility.)

I'm so saddened by this. The proof would be so simple. They are so clearly being conned. The LRB? Really? I cannot even. Bitcoin is a technical marvel in a swamp of human fallibility.

I agree with the author, there are probably many philosophers with the same level of ability as Plato/Socrates/Aristotle alive today, and I think this is an important point to make. As for the role that ancient philosophers still

Recently I've come across the tpm (Tmux Plugin Manager), available at [0]. Happy with it, even though I'm only using two plugins: tmux-sensible (better defaults) and a theme-pack [1]. [0] - https://github.com/tmux-

The script/site below is able to transcribe whole English texts into phonetics. It does take word context into account (e.g. "the" becomes "thee" if it is before a word starting with a vowel). Just checked "We&

I would like to see some location improvements in 5G, but I've no idea on whether or not they will be there. (The little I've heard on 5G has been from non-technical types, always as a buzzword). From my limited knowledge it would

Skimming through the article this looks like better signal processing coupled with the usual sensor fusion (from accelerometers and other sensors). My knowledge of location systems only extends so far, but from what I know 3G, 4G and WiFi h
