I am a Go programmer and I've never seen anyone anywhere encouraging people to use anything over the flag package. How did you get such impression?

On auto. Couldn't they just define auto as _Auto and then add a header like <stdauto.h> which does #define auto _Auto like they did with _Bool in C99?

Firefox on iOS is built with WebKit, not Gecko [1]. IIRC, it's because Apple doesn't like engines that are not WebKit. Chromium uses Blink, which is a fork of WebKit, so Firefox for iOS and Chromium are relatives in a sense. [1]

It shouldn't. The method you're calling takes a pointer receiver, and the Go Spec[1] says: >A method call x.m() is valid if the method set of (the type of) x contains m and the argument list can be assigned to the parameter lis

Both RedMonk [1] and TIOBE [2] indexes (both flawed, but better than nothing) show that Go is somewhat more popular than Clojure. Rust is still behind, but it hit its 1.0 relatively recently, so it's just getting started. [1] http:&#x
