This is exactly the problem. Hyper efficient (or at least trying to be) businesses have no room for craftsmanship. If you take the time to make quality software, you’ll be left behind by someone who doesn’t. Unfortunately the market doesn’t

You can also enable tapping (for left and right clicks). If you’re not pushing the trackpad maybe you’ll have less issues with the cursor moving while you do it?

I'm not affiliated, but when this kind of thing comes up, I always want to share GoToFile[0]. As far as I've seen, this is the only app for Mac that doesn't just reuse Spotlight search (which I find to be terrible). I looked

It’s not just the AI videos, all sorts of real videos, movie clips, etc. packaged for optimal vitality have that look these days. It is a good signal not to watch whatever this is.

Good point! I’m not a constitutional scholar but I think basically all of those except “general welfare” are related to defense and peacekeeping. I’d forgotten about “general welfare” and now I wonder how that got in there considering it di

I don’t have all the metrics handy but I know traffic is constantly growing and at an all time high[0]. Revenue is down with the advertisers leaving but costs are down so much, I think it’s recently profitable or will be soon? And with adve

They advertised on Twitter before Musk bought it, which implies it was profitable. The platform is doing better than ever, so we can assume it’s still profitable today. The only reason they left was politics.

You can log out of your US account in App Store, login with your other country account, download the app, then log out and log back in to your US account. It will maintain authentication for some time and let you update the app, but eventua

I was with you until you said this doesn’t happen in other countries. There are some countries (e.g. Japan, Singapore) where it doesn’t happen, but it certainly does in major European cities. There’s you way you can say London, for example,

DEI quotas have been around for decades. We just used to call it affirmative action and it was far less aggressive and blatant.

The slippery slope is a legitimate risk consideration as often as it’s a fallacy. We already have laws about toilet flow rates and lighting types in the US, and other countries have more.

The “Chinese arm” of ARM wasn’t even sold; it just went renegade and stole everything from the parent.

It might be industry-standard term, but it’s certainly not understood that way by layman, including car customers. To the public, “recall” will always carry the implication that the vehicle needs to go back to the manufacturer for a fix.

It vexes me that almost no one uses the real minus sign. But you also can't blame them since it's never been made readily-available. So you really have to be pedantic and spend time going to get it if you want to use it.
