Here's an officers test: http://aspirant.nu/ It's only in Swedish but most of it is self-explanatory. It's much more fun. Found this on their miltary website.

I think we're off topic here. The main issue is that the Scientology ads are dominating and nothing else is showing up ever. I'm sure people would be upset if all they saw were Christian, Mormon, Muslim, or Atheist ads.

I agree that we have different options. We don't HAVE to choose Google, just as we didn't have to choose Windows; it was just the easiest/most convenient/accessible/popular way to go and so most people do it. Also, I'm sure more systems w

I agree. I guess my main point was that an app like that could spread like a virus if placed in the right hands within a tight community like a college dorm. At the same time, it seems a little anal/nerdy to take a picture of an item befo

Speaking of that, marketing it towards certain people could make it more attractive. Maybe you could release different versions - Lent: Dorm edition. Lent Classic. Lent: Family edition...

From the site: "The first time you get back a book, video, tool, etc. - Lent pays for itself." This seems like a questionable remark to me. Who's to say you would have forgotten you lent the item out without Lent? I nearly feel offended a

I agree Tim has some very shady practices that I believe are unethical, but he does have some good information on his blog as well. Also, no one can deny he is a skilled marketer. In any case I have much less respect for Penelope after rea

If you read his earlier blog posts about his talk at TED, he mentions it was his life dream to be/speak at TED with HIS creation. He doesn't mention anywhere that what he showed wasn't his technology - he very much makes it sound like it w

Very cool. One problem I have is that the edit menu feels a bit laggy to me - it takes a short while for it to open. Also, when you're clicking around the document, I would want more instantaneous feedback on what's going on, if anything.

Great idea, beautiful site, and the software looks great (haven't tried it yet). What's your business model if you don't mind me asking?

I would really like to see a video about what you offer, and a demo account with some demo data so I can see the layout.

Interesting rule, however I disagree with the extent of the assumptions taken from the experiment in the wiki, because: Blasting the second group with a less painful noise AFTER a more painful noise will result in a sense of relief when the

One more point: While it is trying to figure out if a result is unique/scarce/common/rare/..., it says "Searching..." underneath. Wouldn't something like "Analyzing..." be more relevant?

This is seriously cool. Great idea. Interface is a bit odd and should use some tweaking, but it didn't take me long to figure out. The look is alright otherwise, and I like the name. One thing: The purpose of the site appears to be slig

Interesting article, however I question how widespread this book actually is, and the bias of the author of the article. Has anyone here ever come across this book? Are there any teachers here? In all the years of my schooling, I never th

Good and simple UI. I would use it. Bug: I created an account and clicked on 'settings' in the top right, and my email address displayed in the "city" field. Also, both the city and the password fields had a green background initially, bu

Interesting concept. In the Google maps demo, is it possible to add comments to the pins? That would be very useful I believe.
