Excellent points. Point #1 would be especially interesting. Also: It'd be great if the print version was available in other countries (such as Australia).

I'm fairly sure we're going to go with Selenium and start on tests to automate base functionality. To keep sane we'll stay away from fringe cases and make tests as simple as possible. With a majority of the user base and functionality pro

The slideshow on the front page could be much more effective. With the speed of the transitions and smallness of everything in the pictures, I feel I didn't get a good representation of what the product does. I think it might be helpful t

Firstly, what's the purpose of you (re)learning math? Do you care to make use of the math? Or do you want math to become a hobby of yours? Most math in math books is pretty useless in terms of practicality and enjoyment. I would bet that

Nice - my office is located in North Sydney, so I'm not too far away. I've visited Manly a few times - it's about a 30 min ferry ride away. Can't wait for the summer! Thanks for the link. The forum seems surprisingly active.

Too bad to hear that doesn't have that much activity. You live in Mosman? I just started renting a place in Cremorne (border of Neutral Bay), and work in North Sydney. Seems like a cool place. Will check out the meetup, thanks.

When you say "much smarter and more comfortable with theory", what do you mean exactly? Smarter how? Also, how are you more comfortable with theory and what does that comfort do for you? What type of role in society/IT would you say the

Yeah. The part about the bill also extending to block political opposition gave it clearly away for me. Possibly hidden motives aren't typically announced in campaigns.

Why is that? To me it is extremely, extremely unlikely that some important person randomly "forgot" their new prototype in a random bar. Apple has tricky marketing/market research tactics. I wouldn't be surprised. They thrive on hype.

Thanks - great advice. It's always easy to get caught up in the feature trails... Wow the first photo of the baby is wonderful.

Yeah though it appears to not have any special features beyond HD video (which I don't care about), and the 3200 ISO option - which I'm skeptical about.

Thanks for the reply. So what would you say is a bad deal in terms of shutter activations? A guy on craigslist now is selling a Canon 40D with 60k clicks for $1000. Excessive? I don't know if a full-frame would be worth it at this point.

People come to realize things in their own time. Personally I think (a lot of) people who seem to figure things out too quickly don't fully realize the magnitude of their decision at the time (not to say that's her case). Figuring it out

I clicked the link and tried applying a discount coupon (even though it was free...) and it just sat there. Interesting. It just sat there after I filled out my info and clicked 'purchase' too. I'm in chrome.

I very much wish I would have read the below books in (or pre) high school. I'm not sure if they have the same effect on everyone, but for me they were huge in redefining elements of my life that needed to be fixed/unlearned/enhanced. All

With that definition it makes the term first/second/third world nearly meaningless. "A is A because it is". I prefer the definition that implies that "A is A because [INSERT REASONS]" and "A is A but can become B if..."
