Isn’t it a better use of our time figuring out why these poor souls keep accidentally opening vi/vim at the first place? Maybe defaults are not what they ought to be. (But if it’s intentional then RTFQ — sincerely your local curmudgeo

I personally use notion for task management. It’s straightforward to create a view that’s grouped by “status” (or anything) to mimic the kanban swim-lanes. Afterwards it’s a matter of good kanban hygiene (eg <= N active tasks at any give

My beef with TDD is most every resource merely parrots the steps (red,green,..). No one teaches it well from what I have found. Nor am I convinced it’s easy to teach. I have picked up what I can by watching (what I believe) good TDD practit

How do we turn these anecdata/tweets to bona fide dataset? Some sorta crowdsourcing? Eg I have been extensively comparing (personal) experience across Google, DDG, You.com, kagi etc. Thus far, I keep coming back to good old google.

Death is the ultimate equalizer. We take solace in the fact that no matter how rich, brutal, tyrannical, comically-villainous one is, death will surely come for us all. The day old-gizzards figure out how to sip on young-people juice and li

I tried you.com[1]. The first few results seem quite relevant. Best part is that you can actually personalize the weights to assign to your search (your very own bubble) https://you.com/search?q=code%20that%20protects%20user
