They work well together. Grid doesn't replace flexbox.

I'd guess a year or so before it's safe. A lot of smartphones (android browser, looking at you) are based on a build of chromium that's a few versions old. Edge support isn't here yet, but it's being worked on. IE11

Not really. Flexbox is good for laying elements out along a single axis, either horizontally or vertically. Grid is good for doing true 2-dimensional layout. You'll probably end up using both of them - grid for larger layouts and flexb

Union acts in it's member's interests: "Terrible, we shouldn't allow this". Corporation acts in it's own interests: "Well you can't blame them for that".

I imagine you're right. There's so much hissing and booing and the mention of bootstrap that a lot of otherwise good developers never touch it. Despite the fact that, you know, bootstrap is just fine.

I had a similar experience in the rural south in the 90s, for what it's worth. I was largely given free reign to tromp around the (expansive) woods, had a bb gun that I liked to tote around, and at one point had a motorcycle - a ratty

Is the restaurant industry in need of saving, from a restaurant owner's or diner's perspective? I'm fully on the "tipping is terrible for everyone involved" side, but I wonder if the framing here is based on anythin

The general thinking is * use CSS Grid for layout in 2 dimensions. Page level layout essentially * use Flexbox for layout in 1 dimension. "module" level layout. These are not hard and fast rules, like much in CSS.

I literally can't switch. I live in one of the biggest cities in the world, and the ISP's here have carved it up into neighborhood level monopolies. I have one option.

Natural Resource Economics is a whole field largely devoted to determining the market value of natural resources (trees, rivers, clean air, all sorts of stuff). It's messy work and difficult for reasons that others have pointed out. Bu

I think it'd be irresponsible to do anything else. The president wants to keep a database full of muslims, but calling him names is the problem? He's appointed actual white nationalist Steve Bannon his chief of staff, but saying s

Firstly, we don't have open borders. Secondly, why not? Lots of other social programs work with the present "border situation". No illegal immigrants are drawing social security or medicaid.
