I have a big heavy 20 year old Trinitron monitor which I still drag out and use from time to time for the simple reason that it continues to outlast every modern screen I've bought to replace it. It can do 1600x1200, though I run it at

The funny thing is that in print media I'll happily spend ages looking at the adverts. Its the fact that online the bloody things won't stop moving and flashing and eating my CPU that makes me end up having to block them all.

I would point out that there are plenty of people in managerial positions who do absolutely want to treat their people like crap and derive great pleasure and satisfaction from doing so. The world would be better without such people, but th

My microwave has two mechanical knobs. One controls the power, the other the time. Although one of the cheapest models it was hard to actually find a microwave like this. I had to shop around a lot. All the other models I saw have dozens of

The ancients called this device a "Nokia 3310". While it looks a lot like our newest Fartalkers this is almost certainly mere coincidence. The idea ancient humans had developed anything like unwired-electromagnetics is laughable.

Back in '99 on dialup I used to consider 100 good and 150 reasonable for playing Tribes, and would still even play at 300ms. Nowadays, playing PUBGm at 150 means a distinct disadvantage and 300 a joke, of course there are a lot more pl
