To make it worse: it's not millions of chickens, that live in appaling conditions and die horrible deaths. We kill around 50 billion chickens every year. That is 137 million chickens every day. Chickens that are used for eating are a

Laravel and Symfony is interesting, because Laravel sits on top of Symfony and releases of Laravel sometimes wait for releases of Symfony components.

But this works as intended? The code isn't cluttered with documentation, that doesn't necessarily makes sense when reading the code, but by reading the commit, one can understand why the code was written like that.

That polyfill is 46 Megabytes in size. This would suck so much to have this suddenly in the build.

My take is, that a performant backend gets you so much runway, that you can reduce a lot of complexity in the frontend. And yes, sometimes that means to have globally distributed databases. But the industry is going the other way. Building

This is not the point, or other numbers matter more, then yours. In 2005 we wrote entire games for browsers without any frontend framework (jQuery wasn't invented yet) and managed to generate responses in under 80 ms in PHP. Most users

I honestly don't understand this. The syntax is one of the most boring parts of a programming language. It is solved by the IDE (and now LLMs). I don't care about syntax, I care about what I can build. Since the beginning of time

I'm honestly shocked how hard it is to prove that the site is ai generated. There is a very strong ai-vibe, but to find proof in the pictures is hard on most of them (not the pizza one, that one looks awful).

While I don't know if the paper is "stupid", or not, I think nobody in the last two decades has ever seen an uncut interview. So I don't see how this light would help or proof anything.

It is always funny to read something like this: "[..] the telco, one of Germany's largest [..]" There are effectively only three mobile providers in Germany. 1&1 is the fourth, but its network doesn't even cover the

The partition table gets mostly written only once in the lifetime of a filesystem/disk. So it almost never corrupts during an os crash. There are a lot of RAIDs and configurations. Some of them may do what you describe, but most don&#x

What the hell are you talking about? Any filesystem on any OS I've seen the last 3 decades had some kind of recovery path after any crash. Some of them lose more data, some of them less. But being unable to mount, is a bug that makes a

I don't know how absolute terrible the database must be, that you are talking about, but I think that managing 10k entries of whatever shouldn't be any problem at all for anything with a CPU and like 640KB of RAM.
