Absolutely. There will need to be treaties and a method to account for the carbon cost even when something is produced abroad if we are to achieve aggregate reductions. Unfortunately things look grim when you look at the state of internatio

The growth in developing economies is factored into the models, and they're both emitting way lower than we do in the US and Canada per capita. In India's case it's silly to make a comparison.

Rust is a different language with a different audience. If a functional language is presented today that does not automatically curry calls, I have no interest. Just because the tool does not work for you does not mean there's a defect

The ML languages started appearing in the 70s. Rust is a very modern language. Where do you think rust got (more than) half of its type inspiration from? Either way no one has to use any language. Personally OCaml is not my cup of tea--Hask

Making cars is very hard--cut them some slack. This is not a great time to buy any efficient car. Things were easing until gas prices jumped up ... and the recent lockdowns in China probably haven't helped. It's a good idea to wai

"Features" was probably the wrong word for me to use. What I was referring to is interface + customizability. The STL map allows you to: - specify the key/value types - specify the equality predicate - specify which hash func

Keep in mind that - those hash maps are optimized for large sets - they work around several edge cases - they implement way more features than an in-house implementation - they need to support many types of hardware A decent engineer can be

Easy to write, sure. But every time a developer has to look at it for the first time, they'll need to learn this hashmap's interface. Do I need to manage memory? Does it manage memory? How do I iterate? How do I add a new key spac
