As far as I'm concerned, php5 was still broken until 5.3. http://php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.late-static-bindings....

I've been doing a lot of job hunting lately. There are a ton of crappy jobs out there for php/java code monkeys. If you can solve FizzBuzz you can get the job, though you might not want to. Python and other more fashionable languages tend t

"When I worked at the World Bank..." Sit down and shut up, you've done enough damage. As far as I can tell his thesis is that civilizations that weren't technologically developed aren't technologically developed. Uhh, ok.

Maybe this will save people some googling. 7.6 million passenger cars sold in 2006 in the US * ~$30 per buyer = $228 million is pretty much the hard limit for yearly revenue at least without going international. Maybe 10% of all sales is an

I used to have a Thinkpad, but the battery/power connector kept crapping out on me. I'm not convinced Lenovo has maintained the commitment to quality. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I currently use a (copy/paste from newegg) Gate

9th Circuit is the most overturned circuit because it's the biggest with the most cases and most judges. The cert rate is in line with the other circuit courts.

I think capital expenditures is the start of why costs are so high. It is difficult to find a hospital these days that isn't currently renovating or expanding. Hospitals can spend however much they want because they have no pressure on thei

For some reason Yahoo has incredibly talented engineers, all working on things that don't make Yahoo any money. When it comes to the paycheck, Yahoo is just a web publisher; not much more tech focused than AOL or IAC.
