I'm really surprised at the negativity in these comments. I'm drooling over how good this looks and can't wait to use it in my projects. $249 is nothing for the craftsmanship you're getting (and future components!). I&#x

Why not use view templates to capture these?

For starters, it's a more modern approach and the designer behind it is amazing, so it looks much better than Bootstrap IMO. You also get all the other components they add in the future, whereas Bootstrap only has its core components.

Just use view templates to capture this if you need to reuse.

It's the specific combination of HTML and CSS. That's what you're paying for and that's what is licensed.

HN is addictive, but I think we're dramatizing things. Is a product that people like to use a lot a bad thing? Maybe that just speaks to having a good product that gives people what they want, rather than some insidious mind-control sc

I've had ads for things spoken about show up in FB. I have more of a libertarian mindset, but that really creeps me out and I think speech-based ads be outright banned due to privacy concerns. It's not so much the ads; it's b

Yeah, but you have to weigh the cost of multi-region deployments and failsafes vs the cost of downtime. For smaller shops downtime may be acceptable.

This is a side effect of having onerous copyright laws. It takes quite a bit of engineering effort that could have been spent on other projects. This means economic loss and frustration for consumers. As an aside, without copyright, we coul

My main concerns with serverless are unexpected costs and vendor lock-in, especially for small startups and side projects. I like that you can create an event-driven architecture and "glue" various services together (e.g, execute

The government has nothing better to do priority-wise than regulate UI/UX behaviors like video autoplay? This is not essential to the functioning of society; it's bureaucrats avoiding the real issues. Also, ironic coming from the

I try to keep it minimal as well, but some plugins are too good not to install for my daily work. TabNine, Auto Pairs, Vim Surround, Endwise, and CtrlP are a few that come to mind.
