I love how you just continue the lie. I linked to the changelog. Feel free to quote from there where "they communicated it via changelog". That's not even getting into how it's a shitty argument anyway, especially with a

What a weird comment. Yes, the article is mostly talking about how this is a trend that's been building over the last 25 years or so. Most of the specific research it cites is from pre 2020. It's like you are arguing against some

No, it's incredibly irresponsible to hand over the repo to someone else to manage, even someone who is an active contributor. See https://boehs.org/node/everything-i-know-about-the-xz-backdo... for example.

Yeah I agree, data scientists are some of the most naive or immoral people I've worked with. It's unfortunate that the occupation has built a culture of not giving a shit about privacy, security, etc.

How is that experience relevant? Students aren't taking the test remotely, they are taking it in a controlled test center, just possibly with their own device.

A base Model 3 is $39,000. Also, you should be using 2012 dollars, not 2008 dollars. A forward looking statement like "I'll do X for less than $Y dollars next year" should already be accounting for inflation in that $Y.

That's clearly not the problem here. Most EV makers can estimate range just fine, it's almost only Tesla that lies so much about it.

Except that there is no trip where 310 would be the real estimate for that trip. So how is it in any way useful? Tesla just takes the real range, multiplies by some made up factor and pretends that's your range.
