And also, the main takeaway from his story (like so many other similar stories) is: build a community. Really, his projects are interesting and all but "just ship it" is not enough, it has never been.

A while ago while looking at the apache logs I noticed that the AdWords remarketing pixel does the same, it was trying to crawl private URLs that are only accessible to 'admins' that are not linked publicly. I'm not sure if t

I'm using webpack on a ~60 TS files project now. It takes a few seconds to bootstrap, but then, in watch mode, it only compiles the files that are changed and it's really fast.

I plan to move a small react project to TS so it will be easier to work with complex objects coming from API endpoints. Having used TS quite a bit with "vanilla" JS and seen the advantages of using strong typing (eg. easier refact

It seems you have a high churn rate among your subscribers. Have you ever investigated that? An automated plain text email asking for feedback or a survey after someone unsubscribed would probably do it, though I guess you probably tried th

You could do number 2 completely automated with just the IFTTT mobile app. I used to track the time when I arrived and left the office on a gApps spreadsheet but later disabled the task due to battery draining (old iPhone 5).

I did some research myself to decide which storage solution to use for backups and B2 is the cheapest of all, at least for backups. I hope that Backblaze will also offer some kind of redundance option (replicate customer data in 2+ datacent

There are other Saas services for that, like https://www.imgix.com/ . Not sure if this plays well with S3 out of the box though
