I recall reading article in a popular science magazine about hypothetical negative mass with exactly these properties. It was about 25 years ago and the magazine was Russian language. Unfortunately, I can't recall its name now.

LLNL is the core force behind ZoL and it's primarily them who use ZFS-backed Lustre.

I do not think that this is something unique or specific to the US. Loan sharks, payday loans, and the consequences exist in many countries of the world.

Wait until you get a 1-bit flip in a spacemap record. Then you just won't be able to import your pool (insta-panic). And good luck with fining and fixing that flipped bit.

p4 edit does not do that by default. But it can be done with explicit p4 lock.

On the other hand, imagine what would happen if some of nuclear weapons were based near Donetsk and they would fall into hands of "separatists". Flattened Kyiv? Or imagine an accident (sabotage) with Ukrainian nuclear weapons.

It seems that the author of the research is not happy with Bloomberg's spin on the story: https://www.servethehome.com/yossi-appleboum-disagrees-bloom...

By the way, that database is not intended to be public. But corrupt officials sell copies of it. Also, some interesting tidbits here: https://twitter.com/alexgabuev/status/1048153070956367873

It seems that topgit can be used to achieve this workflow. The beauty of it is that it is built on top of git, so it has the familiar mechanics internally while providing a new way of doing patch series / stacked diffs.

[Eastern] Slavic cultures historically used 40 to mean a lot, many. And forty of forties (40 of 40s) means 'great great many'.

Once a week sounds extreme unless we talk about a smallish SSD-only pool. You may wear out your (spinning) disks with scrubs more than you do with real workloads. Also, depending on a pool size it may take days for a scrub to complete.

Regarding pasting to a terminal with zsh, I've been using a recipe from here http://www.zsh.org/mla/users/2011/msg00367.html and it's been great.

I thought that points were designed for that. At least in NJ you can get both fines and points depending on a type of a ticket.

USSR cities used to be very walkable and very public transportation oriented because they were built with low personal car ownership in mind. And that was the reality until the iron curtain fell and imported cars flooded the market.

Asus was the most forth-coming about that. If they mentioned ECC support on a motherboard's specifications page, then it supported ECC and it couldbe enabled, etc. If they didn't, then there was no ECC support. Other manufacture
