For years I was the "maths guy" at a small software house. And yet I often struggled through the terse mathematical notation that I frequently encountered while researching a given problem. On numerous occasions I had to ask for h

Don't be so hard on yourself, Brother. You want to change the way you have been doing things? Well that's great! It shows that you care. Accept the mistakes you have made, you can grow into the better person you want to be.

Newtonian physics is not "a hack". It yields very precise results for simple gravitational interactions, at least up to the point where relativistic effects begin to dominate. Even Einstein's equations are not 100% "perf

A 10 lb structure would have to displace something like 3500 liters of air (a cube with side lengths of about 5 ft). Maintaining a vacuum with such little material is highly unlikely, to say the least. Moreover, scaling the structure by a f

Relying on undefined behaviour can't really be considered much of a solution. Any changes to one of those third-party libraries could possibly break your application without warning. I would suggest inserting a sanitization routine rig

Take it as you will. It's nothing more than anecdotal hearsay, naturally. But it doesn't take a lot of digging either to find that it jives with the much of what has been revealed over the decades.
