There has been constant development trying to improve accelerometer and gyros. There are even commercial products, for example: https://m2lasers.com/quantum-accelerometer.html

What I don't get is that you are engineer #1 but you say the vibe and culture are bad. Why didn't you build a better culture? I very much doubt that the management team took all the hiring decisions on their own after they got you

They were just so expensive compared to everything else. And so locked down - did the iPod even have Windows support in the beginning? I can't remember.

I understand that this Ledgerstore thing is just some tables and materialized views in a Docstore database which they already use for everything else. This seems to be an in-house DynamoDB (sharded MySQL with Raft) which has been developed

Would you finally consider publishing nightly binaries? With SerenjtyOS you always had the "build it yourself" approach which was probably meant to only attract technical users.

If this was true you should be able to build a new house for much less than the asking price for existing houses but unfortunately that is not the case either.

It's the whole enterprise plan, you can't only buy traffic. So you also get all the features which you don't need or want as you can see from the screenshota shared in the original post. Even on the enterprise plan they don&#

From personal experience I know that 10TB per month is like 30k/year and SSL for SaaS is around 40k/year on the enterprise plan. No idea about pricing for having your own IP. I have no idea why Cloudflare would ask you to use thes

This was solved 10 years ago with services like AppEngine in GCP and similar products in major cloud platforms, they all scale to zero.

The kids of people who can afford all you mentioned usually don't have problems with education. It's those who don't have $20. My parents spent almost nothing on my education, just a couple of $ per year to buy a notebook or

Did you add the nvidia_drm.modeset=1 kernel parameter? https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA#DRM_kernel_mode_sett... That did the trick for me. Without that I only got a black screen with the cursor.

It doesn't sound like they needed to implement a new DB system for this. This is using existing features of Docstore which is Uber's own DynamoDB (sharded MySQL) which they seem to be using for almost everything.
