I'll have to check some of the primary sources on that, but it seems true (and obvious) from an intuitive perspective. This would go a long way toward explaining my relatively recent progression toward a zombie-like mental state...

You make some good points, but I think it's important to make a distinction between the management of behavior by fiat and the management of behavior by response to improper actions. The examples you give for restricted behaviors are clear

I usually prefer silence if I can get it, but failing that I listen to pandora stations based either on Bach or Mumford and Sons.

If this is true for this particular implementation, it may not necessarily doom the concept. You could switch to a standard key generation algorithm such as pbkdf2, which is supported in sjcl and is thus available anywhere that can run jav
