I feel like the statement is fundamentally contradictory, seeing as how humans have invented and trained the AI systems. By definition, that is something that humans are doing. On the other hand, it may be more insightful to say that if hum

I went through the first several weeks of course 1, and you are spot on. The quiz in week 2 is absolutely wrong (did anyone audit this?). I skimmed through the first 6 weeks and even for a beginner course, this is way too dumbed down. I che

It's hard to find anything about working at Google that isn't geared towards SWE. What job title(s) would someone working for Google in IT support hold? Is the interview process as grueling as the SWE positions, or is Google looki

You can change the default meeting time to 15 minutes under settings. Once you have done that, just clicking defaults to a 15 minute meeting. You can already drag a 30 minute meeting to a 45 minute meeting pretty easily. This is close to wh

This seems aimed squarely at VSCode. VSCode does a lot of this now out of the box (or with a few extensions). I think Atom is really just trying to keep up. I personally do not believe they have the horsepower to compete with Microsoft here

I noticed this as well. If you poke around, you can see that only 53 cities are currently available. I tried "Portland" and received "Orlando" as a suggestion. Looks like it uses some sort of half-baked search algorithm

This drives me crazy in my mathematics courses. Sometimes I just do not recognize the pattern, and tools like Mathway or Wolfram Alpha can say "right here dummy" and give me the first step. It is not always about cheating, but see

Any site with an instant search, similar to Google's, is sending a steady stream of your keystrokes to the server. Even the Omnibar inside of Chrome has to send your keystrokes over to receive suggestions that aren't local.

When I click a details link, it sends me to the Canadian Amazon link. Any way to fix that? Looks neat otherwise.

What does an alternative look like that does not eventually lead to another Facebook? I've seen decentralized platforms, platforms that do not sell your data or target you with ads - how are they sustainable?

I think what the author (and most of the piece in general) is implying is that because this is the way these interactions with technology occur, it is forcing us to be less focused overall.

Same here. I feel like in the early days of the web, I was able to find this kind of content on forums specific to a particular topic. Now it seems like forums are on the way out in favor of social media or social sharing sites like Reddit

That's great. Is this site more of a resource for Googlers, and for outsiders to understand the process? A lot of the information I'm reading seems to suggest that.
