This is a great resources, thanks for sharing. I usually use Xamarin Studio and Emacs in Linux and Mac. OmniSharp integrates with Emacs, that is pretty cool.

My understanding is that .NET core will not include tooling. This project's focused on delivering a framework only, the Open Source Community (Mono Developers in this case) will take care of the rest. Now, Xamarin has been doing a good

I also find it interesting. Specially in history. In his book: "The Root of Thought" ( http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-root-of-though... ) Dr. Andrew Koob, talks about the importance of Glial cell

Not really from the ground up, but you would have to build the logic you need to execute by the scheduler. Integration wise we have built code to integrate with WordPress, Twitter and Facebook. I can send you the code so you can use it in i

These are different articles, they might related to the same news, but very different takes. This one comes from the founder of Mono.

Why would that be the case ? I think Xamarin has done a pretty good job on pushing the boundaries of C# and the framework on Mac and Linux. Mono's SIMD is one example: http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2008/

Actually that sounds so reasonable. I have been asking myself why Microsoft hasn't bought Xamarin. But Xamarin is actually an amazing Trojan Horse for Microsoft.

I hope they change the options. I think this is way too long for a command: * Install-Package -Name firefox When in Linux I can just do this: * apt-get install firefox I would love to see this: Package -install firefox

VirusTotal has the analysis here: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/43a929c2059440ea899baf47e... It does exist, and it is detected by several vendors, not just Dr.Web.

I couldn't find any mention of Mozilla or Firefox for that matter in the message thread. Is this just speculation about who the "vendor" is, or is there something I am missing ?
