Sailfish is the OS that runs on Jolla and nowadays also on the Xperia X and XA2 phones, although I heard it is not really available in the US (why?). It's somewhat of an alternative to iOS & Android and feels like running Linux 20

I have been running Void Linux since Debian switched to SystemD both at work and at home (including playing Skyrim SSE on Steam using Proton, or StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 using Lutris) . It is a very nice distro although I would not recommen

Flight reminders and package delivery notifications... seriously? This is what we let Google ruin the internet for? For all the things people have mentioned here: maps, e-mail, search, docs, etc. there are alternatives. Sure, they're n

I don't understand why no one mentions SailfishOS. It's an alternative that is available right now . Sure, it's not up to the level of Android and iOS in most respects, but it takes effort to get something like this going. A

I doubt it (if we're talking about the same thing since I see no mention of SLIME nor distel in the article). SLIME was developed as a replacement for ilisp which got a little long in the tooth. ilisp was developed for Emacs to get a
