I'm one of the guys that uses Emacs, so this is purely anecdotal, but I'm really waiting for an Emacs with updated fundamentals. At this point I don't really care whether it is using Guile, Common Lisp or Clojure. I do like this guy's goal

I know "me too" is bad form but since upvotes to pestaa's reply can't be seen this is the only way I can show encoderer that more people would be interested in more examples. (Blog it up if it would be too big for a reply.)

Yes those browsers are available. Chrome has a "request desktop site" option and my personal favourite, iCab Mobile, has an extensive list of agent strings (custom ones can be added as well) that can be set.

You need to remove the trailing '>' from your link (or don't put it between angle brackets). Going by that page perhaps I should start a dutch coffee house in NY! I wonder if there are many Starbucks in Scandinavia? I know of only one

My first programming language where I used pointers was 68000 and they were easy for me to grasp, but for some reason it was harder when I started using C and everytime I get back to C or C++ I need a little refresher. For me it is the synt

If it works like xmonad I'm not really interested. I don't like xmonad's approach to tiling wm's (mostly the master / slave window thing).

Nitpick: the official name for "Holland" is (The) Netherlands. Holland actually denotes only a part of the country and a lot of dutchmen do not take kindly to being called a "Hollander". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holland

Just to chip in on the tiling window managers: i3[1] is a really nice one which doesn't need a lot of configuration. Since switching from Window Maker, which I had been using for 10+ years, it has been the only window manager that didn't m

The implication with wiretapping (and the NSA acronym) is that it is about security and safety against criminals and terrorists. I've always wondered how much of a business advantage it is to be able to tap into the world's biggest VoIP ne

Emacs is better in this regard but I find Emacs's need to consecutive key presses (or a key press followed by a command) to be longwinded. These consecutive key presses ("chords") are just there to provide default bindings and are one of

Is this really a position you're in right now? I'm mostly Common Lisp focused and just by being part of the community I see enough successful examples come by. I'm on mobile right now but if you want I can post some examples later.
