Maybe they shipped the installer pictures as uncompressed originals like they did a long time ago with some update I forgot the name of. But what resulted in a few MB update to be hundreds of MBs.

I thought at first this was associated with the Noclip.video site, which makes excellent documentaties, but it's not. There is also a geography game which uses game maps instead of real maps: https://lostgamer.io

I prefer the US international layout (with the standing return key) and it happens to be that the Dutch layout is just US international with a '€' sign printed on the '2' key as well. So I think I'm lucky in that re

You might see them. But it's far easier for a dev team to take control of the ops side in the cloud with IaC, API's and automated tooling like Terraform. It's still very hard to find companies that do on-prem, API first.

This is one of the ways Chrome obtained its market share. I remember years back when working at one of the biggest Flash/HTML5 game platforms at the time, we where paid serious money by Google to include a banner to switch to Chrome wh

Reminds me of something similar I went through on my first job fresh out of school. Maybe not as exciting as uncovering secrets in a 1.5TB source code vault, but we had these locked down workstations with nothing but a browser, Office and s

There used to be GitX for macOS, which was a very nice, lightweight GUI tool. Sadly it is no longer maintained. There are a few forks though, but they all seem to hang or crash in their own unique way making them unusable for me. Lazygit fo
