Your body decays, the elements of your body transform and become part of other living things, and the atoms that compose them have come from the stars, and will become part of the stars again when the Sun goes supernova. You as a person liv

Hehe, I was just going to suggest running Rainbow against highlight.js's test suite. I doubt it would do nearly as well. Sagalaev's highlighter is awesome, he put a lot of work into it.

I am able to reproduce in 17.0.963.83, which is not beta afaik.

The original ticket may have been filed for the beta, but if you read the reports, you will see that multiple people (myself included) are having the issue in 17.0.963.83, which is as far as I know supposed to be stable and was released on

I'm surprised that got through QA, seems like a rather critical bug.

The emails in profiles are not visible to other users. This is a UI issue here that's bitten everyone.

I think it's just because first, entertainment is an example anyone can relate to, and second, he's a game developer, so entertainment is the context he is working in. And look, less than half way in: "... The same metric can and should be

I firmly plan to live to a hundred and fifty or die trying, but I do not believe we're going to see immortality any time soon, therefore I still think that the time we do have is pretty much irreplaceable, especially time in relatively prim

I think you're rather missing the point. What I took away from the article is not "choose better entertainment". It is that many people waste the time of their life on things they do not even particularly enjoy, simply out of habit, and tha

A well-written reminder, I'd say. Even more so for startup founders - are you working on it because of sunk costs, or are you working on it because it is still the thing that you love to do.

Same here, I spent 5 minutes reading 'Get Started', and still couldn't make heads or tails of it, so went back to HN to see if the comments here make it any clearer.

Well, like the article says, signing-only developer certificates are free now. You only need to pay for it if you are planning to distribute through App store.

Similar build quality is going to demand a similar price. Apple memory upgrades are about the only thing remaining that really is overpriced, but their base hardware is pretty reasonable. And you can definitely dual boot it or just wipe the

I'm rather curious as to what the "comprehensive test suite" includes. If I were to write something like this, it seems like it would take nothing more than installing the various gems on a basic rails app, and adding a little glue code to

I don't see how anything specified in the article is exclusive to Apple. Reads like linkbait, honestly. I was expecting rather more from NY Times.

Unfortunately so far, the G+ API is read-only. There is no way to write any third party tool to post to it. It would be interesting to hear from someone with internal knowledge on what their actual plans on opening it up are.
