So to make my chances in the future better, it would be better for to spend time on sites like topcoder honing on my algorithmic skills rather than say, experimenting with nodejs. Or does this depend on the company/job I am applying to

I love vim's keybindings and cant work without them. I really like sublime but i just cant leave vim's keybindings which makes me so much efficient. Last time I tried a vim emulator for sublime it didn't go so well. it wasnt

There seems to be ALOT of 'Git Explained' stuff. The best way to learn Git in my opinion is start using it! Google stuff as you go.

It is awfully difficult to get a technical TL;DR version from a website, whose target audience is programmers. I think explaining what this does concisely and technically, preferably on the front page with code examples etc would be really
