I'm not convinced that's true. If the market really is free and fair, and the price is currently 8 times more than elsewhere, why are foreign pharmaceutical companies not flooding the US market? Why are there not dozens of silicon

Last time I worked in a big corporate you had to fill in a long form to request a license for anything you needed. If you didn't use it again within a fortnight or so it got yoinked away... The startups I've worked at since have a

There's a test and trace system that is supposed to phone everyone with a positive test result and get details of all their close contacts (people they sat in an office with, restaurants they visited, etc), who are in turn contacted. A

I don't think the charity provided air ambulances in the UK have winches. They would have to call in a coast guard or military helicopter for that. It sounds like this organisation would like to have more capability in house. Although,

I walk into a department store or electronic shop, will I see these adverts demoed on the menus there? It would only be fair to let people know what to expect!

We had just one of the huts left in my UK school - until IIRC the roof blew away?! I don't remember the distinct reverb, my overriding memory is of being far too hot in summer and far too cold in winter.

Once jet fuel has been onboard an aircraft, it can't be sold to any other airline / operators due to possible contamination. So if a pilot needs an aircraft defuelled for whatever reason (maintenance, etc), some airports will simp

The US has vastly worse automobile deaths than almost any other developed nation, however you divide the numbers. (population, KM travelled, number of vehicles owned...). Probably not the best example...!

There are plenty of online tools to generate Nginx or Vagrant config files. I don't really get the love for hating on K8 complexity on here - nobody says it's the perfect tool for every use case... but when you do need it, it'

It's basically unusable without this. For example, on the javascript heavy new version 'my profile' link only loads about 50% of the time for me, and when it does work, it's far less usable than the old site.
