Same for me - I can use almost any mouse going just fine, but any shade of the Mighty Mouse feels instantly painful to me. Also, on the original Mighty Mouse I used to use, I frequently found however hard I pressed, I couldn't click it

This is what the company I work for claimed. Now we are 10 years old and have a monster of a relational database stored in MongoDB. There's never a good moment to switch database, but there is always a new problem caused by storing rel

Seems a sensible bill - amazing that some of them were not already the case. Eg. mininum rest times for cabin crew. However, what on earth has this got to do with aviation?! > authorizes $1.68 billion for relief for Hurricane Florence, w

Presumably just another s3 bucket? Do all your transferring from an EC2 instance in the same region and it never needs to waste bandwidth going over the public internet anyway.

Congrats on the product launch, looks a neat UI. AWS easily has the worst UX of the three major clouds I've used. From that perspective my favourite by far is GCP. Do you forsee supporting other cloud vendors? I guess there is a lot le

Presumably in their case a union offers a better way to voice their concerns over eg. objectionable business practices, or just affecting the role out of more routine policies - eg. around time tracking, remote working, childcare, etc.

Sounds exactly like my former employer ha. IIRC our system wasn't even fancy ML - just finding known user IDs with identical timestamps over many simultaneous clicks / impressions on really diverse publishers.

I used to work in this industry. A small tech team investigated fraud on our platform and developed a system that was pretty robust at detecting and potentially shutting it down. But literally nobody was interested - even the people adverti

I grew up in a leafy village in rural UK. But at one point in the early 90s my dad got an offer to move to SoCal and we went out, I remember visiting schools and stuff, but we never actually went ahead with the move. Apparently while we wer

Re the deli and other quasi essential shops, it would seem unfair if they closed when you can still buy your fancy cheese and olives in a supermarket.

I never did get what the Briefcase was supposed to do. It was so poorly explained that that was it's purpose. Perhaps because I didn't have any networked computers, and the utility of a Dropbox via floppy disk was so limited...

Who fixes the centralised log system when that needs debugging? Unless prohibited in something like banking, following best practice to the letter is sometimes unacceptably slow for most industries.
