You don't agree with the notion that many tech products like web languages (or browsers, operating systems / mobile platforms, or whatever) tend to trend heavily toward a single dominant product (either due to one simply being better, and o

Yeah, I wrote Tumblr in PHP, but I'm eager to abandon it. You know, it's just an easy to use, broken language that you can scale a site to 15 billion page views per month with. I'm sure my next project will need a better language, because i

The Android hardware business is a horrible business for all but a few of the manufacturers. I don't see what the benefit for them would to compete in the hardware business when they can deliver their software on top of 95% of all smart pho

Probably for roughly the same reason Nokia's old chief was putting down Apple on the cover story of Forbes when it came to who was going to dominate smart phones (November 2007 sounds right?). Like a deer in headlights that has never encoun

I wouldn't assume the authorities in question had any of this well mapped out (their preparation indicates they didn't), nor that they're all that interested in this case (it's not that high on the todo list). If this were strictly a matter

That seems strange. I've had a gmail account since the first open days of the beta in 2004, and never get spam in my inbox. Their spam filtering works extraordinarily well for me.
