With 2x scaling, fonts are really crisp. Regular 1080p gets there most of the way, but with 2x scaling on a super high res display, the difference is noticeable and it's hard to go back. Have you ever switched from a high refresh rate

my favourite thing about 5K is that you can do 2x scaling and still have plenty of space on your screen to display multiple windows (effectively 2560x1440) but with a 4K screen, you have three options: 1. no scaling and tiny fonts (ugh), 2.

I don't want to tell NASA/ESA/CSA how to operate, but I haven't heard of a single software product that launched 10 years late. Such a product would be immediately DOA because of how fast technology moves. Obviously a sp

I'm sorry what? Have you seen the rate at which data is being created today? I mean, if you want to index the size of the 1995 web with your raspberry pi, go ahead, but it costs insane amounts of money to index the December 2021 web an

You don't need to run your own email server for this. I do this with a catch-all in Fastmail for $50/year or something. I'm pretty sure Gmail and most others can do this too.

It absolutely doesn't cost 20k EUR/yr in hardware to run a email server, but the time sink is ridiculous.

I don't disagree, but I just wish there was a solution that's both fair and, you know, won't cause mass extinction. Maybe that's just not possible.

Is that without subsidies? Because subsidies are just make believe money to push people in some direction, the money for the infrastructure still has to come from somewhere.
