23 minutes old, 21 points, zero comments - I've been on HN for a bit now and this is the first time I've seen something pop off of new without at least a discussion starting. Seems slightly suspicious, at least to me.

I'm about to do a big revamp of my home network and would love any specific gear recommendations to research - are these the supermicro setups you're talking about? https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/

Neither, you should have a third conceptual tool to encapsulate the overall product, then once you have a feature spec, you cut tickets for the subcomponents. Depending on the API complexity, I personally would either define the spec as a P

A handful of AZ-less managed AWS services were having a bad time(tm) during the peak of the incident, so if anyone was reliant on those they were having a bad time as well.

Yep, this is what always gets me about the original quote - the peninsula _does_ exist, and while the damage will be very significant, a lot of us will be just fine, and most assuredly not toast. The aftermath will suck, however.

It's a great soundbite, but it loses a lot of context when distilled down. Most of the infill west of I5 in the Seattle area will probably liquefy, but there's mountain ranges to the west of I5 that would take a hell of a quake to
