Yup. I'm really glad to see that you guys are working with Incanter now as well. BTW, as a total aside, I'm a big fan of Clisk. I think you nailed the API for functional image manipulation. I'm interested in seeing an OpenCL

I do not believe this is the right approach to the problem, but I do appreciate the problem you're trying to solve here. However, in my opinion - Clojure libraries shouldn't be trying to reinvent the wheel. If your goal is to expo

Incanter's default Matrix implementation is now Catrix as well - which is a Clojure friendli(er) wrapper over jBLAS matrices. https://github.com/tel/clatrix Check out the source.

I'm finding Three.js with an idiomatic Clojure veneer to be quite enjoyable. I find one of the biggest "wins" of any Lisp is how natural it is to build a DSL for whatever your problem domain happens to be. For example, right

I'm already a big fan and advocate of both Clojure and ClojureScript, and although I've had great success convincing friends and coworkers to give Clojure a try (and even get excited about it), unfortunately ClojureScript has been

I first read this on New Scientist a couple of weeks ago. Link here: http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg21729055.700-mosh-pit-... . It mentions that the physics studied here could have practical applications in emergency planning. Answe

Hmm. I hear what you're saying, but I think you may be underestimating the cultural undercurrent present here. Intelligence does not automatically correlate to respecting freedom of thought or other Western ethical ideals.

You're definitely correct. However, I think the parent was commenting about the quality of this specific article, not on the meritless basis of a discussion about HIPAA. This post doesn't do a very good job at all at explaining what's going

Perhaps; but I think the anger will be directed toward the perceived elitist "intellectual class". I mean, we already see a lot of that rhetoric in politics. (At least in American politics.)

You're right - the invention you mentioned did not put stores out of business. But there have been inventions and technologies and new business models that have put people out of work before. That's not a controversial fact I think... My po

I think you're possibly overestimating the extent foreign media has proliferated throughout North Korea. It's true that some families do have televisions; but they're only issued to the most trusted families as gifts from the State and are

What an incredibly succinct way to put it. Props. I have a lurking feeling that in spite of all of the technologist/futurist optimism in our community, we are likely underestimating the pushback from the world at large when enough people at
