Before HN I only heard of ketamine once: Greg House telling nurses to tell Cuddy "I want ketamine". Drug is drug, OK. Turns out it is well known "recreational" drug. Who knows, in a year, I might try it myself. That

The argument is kinda weak given how many kernel updates are there and how often they come (and kernel upgrade _requires_ reboot regardless of PID 1).

I mean if you protecting yourself from panic by moving stuff from real PID 1 into pidns root, you're doing it wrong. pidns root will segfault and kernel will SIGKILL everything inside which is equivalent to good old panic.

Elementary particles are dots for all intents and purposes. But dots can't spin. Spinning requires internal structure to notice spinning, but elementary particles don't have it. Basically you don't need analogy at all. Spin i

The problem with science magazines is that if you dumb down paper enough for general public to "understand" it there is basically nothing left. Article doesn't even try to describe what this $2 C_{2 u} − C_{2 d}$ coupling is

Spinning ball analogy is very common in school or basic uni. I think it is spinning ball 100% of the time.

There is no real government backing Bitcoin. There is no real economy backing Bitcoin. At some point you need to convert BTC to real money for taxing and what not and this conversion is the perfect place to ban it if so desired. Nice experi
