No, it is not. Wikipedia lists "western" examples because western canon is very well documented, and this documentation is reliable and extensive enough to quote from. My readings of Indian history have led me to accept that the freedom of

This submission is part of a depressing trend in HN I'm seeing: attention grabbing politically correct headlines that deliberately pick some individual data points (in this case, a certain ranting comic book author) that should be enough to

Go away, troll. This does not contribute anything to the discussion at hand and only shows that you don't want to process information that may contradict your own idea of fairness.

This is great! How does it compare with impress.js or jmpress (the jQuery version of impress)? I'd like to use this in my authoring tool, if CSS3 animations work with SVG.

I've made an open source experimental authoring tool for such presentations here http://adityab.github.com/Awwation It uses SVG, and Javascript for animations.

From http://prezi.com/explore it shows the number of views to be among hundreds of thousands or more in some popular prezis. So I think people like to watch passively, not unlike Youtube videos.

Some notes: 1. I hacked this up as a holiday project. I think using SVG for presenting is a good idea because transforming, zooming, etc is apparently 'harder' or 'unnatural' in pure HTML, from an editor's perspective. 2. The upon clicking
