Both of these should be /d͡ʒ/, which is an affricate. In some Polish dialects, "drz" is pronounced basically like that. But it seems to me (I'm not a native speaker, merely an observing linguist) that standard Polis

In case anyone wants to pronounce the name: "drz" is unpronouncable in English, but probably closest to /j/ in "journalist", but with a /d/ in front of it (actually /dʐ/.) "y" is a

I use org mode, together with org agenda. It doubles for taking notes, too! Helped me write my thesis and keep notes accessible. Unfortunately, there are no good solutions for using org from a phone.

You're right, of course. I misremembered. The trouble is that your program can become non-terminating in all but the regular case IIRC. Man it's been 10 years since I've done Prolog, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Prolog is useful everywhere proofs are useful. Now, a proof isn't what you may think of as a proof in the general sense. One example of a proof that Prolog is good at is solving games, such as solving a particular instance of tic tac t

Not OP, but I'd guess the idea is that calling untyped code in TS is basically Pushing the Big Red Button, or Launching the Nukes™. When doing that in TS, you do it knowing it's your own responsibility to test and establish trust

That's very short sighted. Population doesn't permeate the ether like a perfect gas, and we're not all indistinct like the molecules of such a gas. Whether the current global population levels are unsustainable is up for deba

I think you misunderstood Monads, or the role type theory has to play in modern programming. Large projects inevitably benefit from static guarantees enforced automatically by your environment. That can be a 3rd party static code analysis t

With such a big project, being quick to hand out wontfix isn't necessarily a bad thing. To be honest, seeing as this project is used by a huge part of the… rather diverse JS crowd, 15% wontfix is astoundingly low .

Meh. Not to be a debbie downer, but that's the most basic courtesy you can offer to cyclists, and even that isn't telling half the story. In central Europe anyway, Google Maps is unusable for creating cycling tracks or directions.
